Consecuencias de los ataques del 11-S: Estados Unidos y las intervenciones en Afganistán e Irak

Abstract

En esta investigación se analizan los resultados que se observan en la actualidad en materia regional estadounidense, desde una perspectiva basada en las Relaciones Internacionales. Se realiza un recorrido de los acontecimientos que suceden a los ataques de las Torres Gemelas que tuvieron lugar el 11 de septiembre de 2001, estudiando las intervenciones por parte de los Estados Unidos en Afganistán en los años 2001 y 2002 y la realizada en 2003 en el territorio de Irak. Estos sucesos han afectado a la relación entre los tres países protagonistas, de manera que se examinarán los efectos que han tenido hasta el día de hoy. Por otro lado, observaremos los cambios en materia política y diplomática originados a causa de los ataques.

This research analyzes the results that are currently observed in U.S. regional matters, from a perspective based on International Relations. A review of the events following the attacks on the World Trade Center that took place on September 11, 2001 is made, studying the interventions by the United States in Afghanistan in 2001 and 2002 and the one carried out in 2003 in the territory of Iraq. These events have affected the relationship between the three countries involved and the effects they have had up to the present day will be examined. We will also look at the political and diplomatic changes brought about by the attacks.
