Abstract
This Final Degree Project focused on analyzing the importance of the family nucleus in the development and prevention of eating disorders. In addition, I investigated the risk and protective factors that are involved in family dynamics. Also, I explored in the personality traits that can serve as risk factors or protective factors against the possible development of a food pathology. Having a multicausal etiology, the treatment must be multidisciplinary (López & Treasure, 2020). For this reason, we must open the look to the whole family since it is there where much of the problem also resides. Finally, I delved into aspects of the treatment that may be key elements to take into account to increase the probability of the therapy success. Finally, an intervention proposal was made with the fundamental elements that must be included in a therapeutic program and those that must necessarily be improved in order to provide a greater probability of recovery.
