Abstract

Durante el año 2022 se produjo un aumento considerable en la actividad de las bandas latinas en la Comunidad de Madrid. Es por ello por lo que con este trabajo se pretende conocer las razones de ello y comprender más en profundidad el funcionamiento de estos grupos, con el objetivo de encontrar una solución hipotética para erradicar totalmente las bandas latinas en Madrid.

Los procesos sociales son fundamentales en la creación de una banda, ya que los jóvenes inmigrantes llegan sin la intención de formar parte de una, pero son condicionados a ello por la situación social, cultural y laboral, y permanecen en ellas debido al miedo, causado por las amenazas. Los factores de riesgo más determinantes a la hora de unirse a una de estas organizaciones son: el choque cultural, los problemas escolares, tener una familia desestructurada y la etapa evolutiva en la que se encuentran.

Las principales bandas en la Comunidad de Madrid son: los Latin Kings, Ñetas, Trinitarios y Dominican don’t Play. La intervención es una cuestión compleja, debido a que muchos de los delitos que cometen no son denunciados por el miedo a las represalias. Aun así, dar charlas en los colegios para prevenir a los alumnos y para motivarlos a seguir en la escuela, formar a los profesores en este tema, mayor presencia policial e iluminación en las calles, evitar descuidar las zonas comunes y cambiar el reglamento de armas serían medidas útiles para reducir la actividad de estos grupos.

In 2022 there was a considerable increase in the activity of Latin gangs in the Madrid Community. That is why the aim of this thesis is to know the reasons for this and to understand more deeply the functioning of these groups, with the objective of finding a hypothetical solution to eradicate Latin gangs in Madrid completely.

Social processes have a great impact on the creation of a gang, since young immigrants arrive without the intention of being part of one, but are conditioned to it by the social, cultural and labor situation, and remain in them due to fear, caused by threats. The most determinant risk factors when joining one of these organizations are: cultural shock, school problems, having an unstructured family and the evolutionary stage in which they are.

The main gangs in the Madrid Community are the Latin Kings, Ñetas, Trinitarios and Dominican don't Play. Intervention is a complex issue, due to the fact that many of the crimes they commit are not reported due to the fear of reprisals. Even so, giving lectures in schools to prevent students and to motivate them to stay in school, training teachers on this topic, increasing police presence and lighting in the streets, avoiding neglecting common areas and changing the weapons regulations would be useful measures to reduce the activity of these groups.
