Los efectos ¿secundarios? de la guerra en Ucrania
Abstract
El conflicto armado internacional entre Rusia y Ucrania ha desplazado a millones
de personas, constituyendo la mayor crisis humanitaria en Europa desde la Segunda
Guerra Mundial. Rusia pretende incorporar Ucrania o al menos parte de ella al
territorio ruso y defenderse de las supuestas amenazas de la OTAN. Pero la guerra
produce varios cientos de miles de pérdidas humanas y mucho sufrimiento en las personas tanto ucranianas como rusas. Este artículo trata de centrarse en las personas a las que afecta la guerra con un foco en los refugiados ucranianos: cuántos, qué perfiles, dónde han ido, qué necesidades tienen y qué secuelas, entre otros. Asimismo, presentar y hacer una lectura de la respuesta que la Iglesia en general y la Compañía de Jesús en particular han articulado ante esta emergencia. The international armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine has displaced millions of people, representing the greatest humanitarian crisis Europe has seen since
the Second World War. Russia’s intention is to convert Ukraine, or at least part of it, into Russian territory and stave off the supposed threats of NATO. However, the war has resulted in the loss of hundreds of thousands of lives, in addition to the endless suffering inflected to Ukrainians and Russians alike. This article focuses on the people affected by the war, taking special interest in Ukrainian refugees, aiming to answer questions including how many are there, what types of people are they, where have they gone, what needs do they have and what will
happen to them? In addition, it will present and examine the response of Church
as a whole, and the Jesuits in particular, to this emergency.
