Comportamientos De Riesgo Sexuales Y Uso De Aplicaciones De Contacto: Influencia De La Impulsividad, Género y Orientación Sexual

Abstract

El uso cada vez más frecuente de aplicaciones de contacto entre los jóvenes adultos ha sido objeto de diversos estudios, los cuales han revelado una mayor probabilidad de que los usuarios de estas aplicaciones mantengan conductas sexuales de riesgo. Estas conductas se ven afectadas por el nivel de impulsividad de los usuarios y también pueden estar influenciadas por su género y orientación sexual. Sin embargo, en España hay pocos estudios realizados sobre este tema. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este trabajo consiste en evaluar la relación entre el uso de aplicaciones de contacto y las conductas sexuales de riesgo, teniendo en cuenta la impulsividad, y examinando cómo el género y la orientación sexual pueden influir en estas variables. Se obtuvo una muestra final de 358 participantes (65.9% mujeres), con edades comprendidas entre 18 y 26 años. Las respuestas de los participantes se recopilaron mediante un formulario online el cual fue distribuido a través de diversas redes sociales. Se realizaron pruebas paramétricas, como la Prueba T, ANOVA de dos factores y Correlaciones de R de Pearson, para obtener los resultados. Los resultados sugieren una relación entre la impulsividad y ser usuario, al igual que correlaciones positivas entre la impulsividad y las conductas de riesgo sexuales en los usuarios de aplicaciones. Sin embargo, no se encontraron resultados que indiquen una relación entre las conductas sexuales de riesgo y ser usuario. Además, no se observó una influencia del género en la relación entre ser usuario de aplicaciones y las conductas de riesgo sexuales. Estos resultados indican la necesidad de realizar más estudios sobre este tema en población española, teniendo en cuenta más variables que puedan explicar con más precisión los resultados obtenidos, al igual que incluyendo escalas más específicas con las que poder medir las distintas variables.

The increasing use of dating apps among young adults has been the subject of several studies, which have found that users of these apps are more likely to engage in risky sexual behaviours. These behaviours are affected by users' level of impulsivity and may also be influenced by their gender and sexual orientation. However, there are few studies on this topic conducted in Spain. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to assess the relationship between the use of dating apps and sexual risk behaviors, considering impulsivity, and examining how gender and sexual orientation may influence these variables. A final sample of 358 participants (65.9% female), aged 18-26 years, was obtained. Participants' responses were collected through an online survey which was distributed through various social media channels. Parametric tests, such as T-test, two-factor ANOVA and Pearson's R correlations, were conducted to obtain the results. The results suggest associations between impulsivity and being a user, as well as positive correlations between impulsivity and sexual risk behaviours in app users. However, no results were found indicating a relationship between sexual risk behaviour and being a user. Furthermore, no influence of gender was observed in the relationship between being an app user and sexual risk behaviours. These results indicate the need for further studies on this topic in the Spanish population, considering more variables that may more accurately explain the results obtained, as well as including more specific scales with which to measure the different variables.
