En este libro, Carlos Blanco propone reconceptualizar los fundamentos de la filosofía en torno a las categorías de consistencia, completitud y límite asintótico. Mediante una sucesión de momentos subjetivos y objetivos, divididos a su vez en submomentos analíticos y sintéticos, el autor busca integrar metódicamente las nociones de "pensamiento" y de "conocimiento" para ofrecer una perspectiva superadora de las tradicionales tensiones entre filosofía y ciencia, así como entre racionalismo y empirismo.
