Entre la Ciencia Ficción y el Metaverso: Un análisis de la literatura distópica en busca de intuiciones para una Sociedad Digital sostenible (ODS concernidos: 4, 11, 16 y 17)

Abstract

El trabajo busca extraer las advertencias comprendidas en cuatro grandes obras de la literatura distópica, utilizándolas como referencias para identificar posibles escenarios adversos que las empresas que operan en contexto del metaverso deben evitar desarrollando modelos de negocios competitivos y éticos. Las obras escogidas para su análisis ilustran, cada una desde su enfoque particular, las consecuencias demoledoras del uso irresponsable de la tecnología y la capacidad que esta tiene de vulnerar los derechos humanosd de los ciudadanos, la privacidad y el pensamiento crítico. El estudio propone la utilización de estas las advertencias distópicas para anticipar posibles escenarios derivados del uso negligente de la tecnología. Mediante el análisis de las obras escogidas, se identifican los mayores peligros comprendidos en cada obra y se propone emplear estas advertencias como guía para las empresas de qué no hacer, con el objetivo de evitar caer en los riesgos que presentan los visionarios autores de las novelas escogidas para análisis. De este modo, se busca mitigar dichos riesgos desarrollando estrategias empresariales concretas y aplicadas en el ámbito de la ética empresarial que permitan construir modelos de negocio robustos simultáneamente responsables y rentables en el contexto del metaverso y la economía digital.

The paper seeks to extract the warnings contained in four major works of dystopian literature, using them as references to identify possible adverse scenarios that companies operating in the context of the metaverse must avoid by developing competitive and ethical business models. The works chosen for analysis illustrate, each from its own particular approach, the devastating consequences of the irresponsible use of technology. The study proposes the use of these dystopian warnings to anticipate possible scenarios derived from the negligent use of technology. Through the analysis of the chosen works, the greatest dangers in each work are identified and it is proposed to use these warnings as a guide for companies on what not to do, with the aim of avoiding falling into the risks presented by the visionary authors of the novels chosen for analysis. In this way, the aim is to mitigate these risks by developing concrete and applied business strategies in the field of business ethics that enable the construction of robust, simultaneously responsible and profitable business models in the context of the metaverse and the digital economy.
