La metafísica del transhumanismo. Un acercamiento a sus estructuras filosóficas en diálogo con la antropología teológica del cristianismo

Abstract

La modesta pretensión de esta intervención consiste en analizar el contexto filosófico y cultural en el que surge y arraiga la propuesta metafísica y antropológica del transhumanismo. Nos fijaremos en las ideas vertebrales que ofrecen estructura y solidez a esta concepción, intentando revelar la lógica interna que, en términos filosóficos, justifica su atractivo y su verosimilitud. Finalmente, intentaremos establecer un diálogo honesto y crítico entre la idea del ser humano que maneja el transhumanismo y las principales líneas de fuerza implícitas en la antropología teológica que propone la tradición cristiana. La relación entre finitud e infinitud tendrá una importancia decisiva en todo este proceso.

The modest aim of this intervention is to analyse the philosophical and cultural context in which the metaphysical and anthropological proposal of transhumanism arises and takes root. We will look at the core ideas that offer structure and solidity to this conception, trying to reveal the internal logic that, in philosophical terms, justifies its attractiveness and verisimilitude. Finally, we will try to establish an honest and critical dialogue between the idea of the human being that transhumanism handles and the main lines of force of theological anthropology proposed by the Christian tradition. The relationship between finitude and infinity will have decisive importance in this entire process.
