The aim of this article is to identify and characterize the experiences of discrimination faced by foreign individuals who are part of the migrant gay community in Chile, from the perspective of homonationalism. The study is grounded in the conceptual tensions between heteronormativity and homonormativity, placing particular emphasis on the emergence of nationalist discourses within the gay community itself. The methodology employed was qualitative, using a self-administered online questionnaire within the framework of an emblematic case study. Findings indicate that participants’ accounts reveal experiences of nationalist discrimination in social and sexual encounters, as well as in the workplace., Homonationalism; migration; gay; Chile; discrimination; dissidence.
