El Apego Infantil con los Padres como Predictor de la Relación Adulta con Dios. Una Revisión Sistemática.

Abstract

Desde hace algunas décadas se viene considerando la hipótesis de que Dios se puede conceptualizar como una figura de apego simbólica, y que la relación que se establece con él se construye a partir de los modelos operativos internos generados en el vínculo de apego con los padres. En esta revisión sistemática de literatura se lanzó una búsqueda en la base de datos Psycinfo el día 05/12/2021, de la que se obtuvieron 10 artículos para el análisis. Los resultados muestran que existe correlación entre las medidas de apego en la infancia, tanto categoriales como dimensionales, y varias medidas de relación con Dios en el adulto. La asociación se mantiene usando distintas herramientas de medida y diferentes muestras. También se mantiene tanto para padres como para madres, aunque hay discrepancia sobre quién de los dos influye más en la construcción de la relación con Dios. Finalmente, se discuten los resultados a la luz de las teorías de la psicología de la religión y se proponen hipótesis alternativas que sugieren direcciones para la futura investigación.The hypothesis that God can be conceptualized as a symbolic attachment figure, and that the relationship established with him is formed on the basis of the internal working models generated in the attachment bond with parents, has been considered for some decades. In this systematic review of the literature, a search was launched in the Psycinfo database on 05/12/2021, from which 10 articles were collected for analysis. The results show that there is correlation between measures of attachment in childhood, both categorical and dimensional, and several measures of relationship with God in adulthood. The association holds using different measurement tools and different samples. It also holds for both fathers and mothers, although there is disagreement as to which of the two is more influential in the building of the relationship with God. Finally, the results are discussed in the light of the theories of the psychology of religion, and alternative hypotheses are proposed to suggest directions for future research.
