Introduction: Ankle sprain is the most common injury of muscle-skeletal system, above all in sports. Lateral collateral ligament is which more injured. It’s interesting to investigate to find a gold standard protocol to achieve a faster an effective recovery, to avoid chronic symptoms and additional cost. Thus is important the management of pain. There are no studies assessing pain management on ankle sprain with neuromuscular taping. Objective: The aim of this study is to check if there are some changes on pressure pain threshold adding neuromuscular taping to conventional management of grade II ankle sprain. Design: This is a randomized experimental prospective (pre-post) analytical study, with control group. Population: On each group there will be studied 195 patients, of both sexes, aged between 15 and 60, recruited at emergency service of 12 de Octubre Hospital in Madrid. Intervention: Experimental group will be treated with conventional therapy and neuromuscular taping during 5 days and control group will be treated only with conventional therapy.es_ES
