Abstract

B. Daelemans escoge la serie de esculturas de bronce que reflejan el vía crucis elaboradas por el alemán Werner Klenk para el monasterio de Maria Köningin (Altenhundem, Alemania). Ellas son el objeto de encuentro y de camino espiritual bajo la guía, el texto y el proceso de los ejercicios ignacianos. Sumándose no sólo a la tradición de Jerónimo Nadal en sus Evangelicae Historiae Imagines (1593), sino a lo apuntado por el Breve Directorio (1580) donde se invita al uso de la imagen para suscitar la experiencia espiritual del creyente, B. Daelemans parece concebir la imagen mucho más que un sencillo recurso estético y, en todo caso, estético teológico.

B. Daelemans choose the series of bronze sculptures that reflect the Via Crucis prepared by the German Werner Klenk for the monastery of Maria Köningin (Altenhundem, Germany). They are the object of encounter and spiritual path under the guidance, the text and the process of Ignatian Exercises. Daelemans conceives the image much more than a simple aesthetic appeal and, in any case, aesthetic - theological goal.
