Abstract

This Final Degree Project is based on a study of the current situation of green hydrogen, its applications and the different policies applied to this energy, since green hydrogen currently represents one of the tools with the greatest potential in the reduction of greenhouse gases worldwide. The objective of this study is to analyze and expose the advantages and disadvantages of green hydrogen and how it can help in the process of decarbonization in Spain. In this sense, this research is carried out based on an integral framework to categorize the implications that Spain has had in this environment, being part of an important system under the European schemes. According to the results obtained, it can be concluded that Spain will be one of the European territories with greater stability for the year 2050 in consideration of the use of green hydrogen as an energy source for social consumption.
