Abstract

This research evaluates the potential of GOFFEE, a technological platform designed to streamline coffee consumption within Madrid's urban mobility context by allowing pre-orders and in-route pickup without exiting the vehicle. The study employs a sequential mixed-methods design, combining a quantitative survey (308 valid responses) with qualitative tools such as a focus group and six in-depth interviews. Findings indicate that while 71.8% of respondents consume coffee daily, they face significant logistical friction: parking (49%) and route deviation (30.2%) are the primary barriers to purchasing coffee during commutes. Hypothesis testing confirms that quality and customization are structural attributes that increase the willingness to pay, with an average of €2.80. A target segment labeled the "integrated consumer" (35% of the sample), defined by high car mobility and a preference for specialty coffee, emerges as the profile with the highest adoption potential. The study concludes that GOFFEE’s value proposition must focus on operational precision, reliable synchronized delivery, and the systematic elimination of logistical friction to successfully penetrate the Madrid market.
