ARTICLE 15 Freedom to choose an occupation and right to engage in work

Abstract

.Se realiza un análisis del contenido, alcance y naturaleza del artículo 15 de la Carta de Derechos Fundamentales de la Unión Europea aprobada en 2000 y en vigor de 2009, sobre la libertad para elegir una ocupación y el derecho a un trabajo. A lo largo del capítulo se contrasta el contenido legal con la abundante jurisprudencia del Tribunal de Justicia de la Unión Europea sobre la libre circulación de trabajadores como pilar central para garantizar el derecho a una ocupación y un trabajo sin discriminación por razón de nacionalidad.

.An analysis is made of the content, scope and nature of article 15 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union approved in 2000 and in force since 2009, on the freedom to choose an occupation and the right to work. Throughout the chapter, the legal content is contrasted with the abundant jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union on the free movement of workers as a central pillar to guarantee the right to an occupation and work without discrimination based on nationality.
