Este libro pretende ser una presentación del Concilio Vaticano II (1962-1965) en tres momentos: en primer lugar, ofrece un relato del acontecimiento a partir del diario conciliar de Otto Semmelroth; en segundo lugar, describe la participación y contribución de Karol Wojtyla; finalmente, presenta la reflexión teológica sobre el concilio de Edward Schillebeeckx.
