EMPRESAS SOSTENIBLES DE SALUD Y BIENESTAR: UN ANÁLISIS COMPARATIVO ENTRE ESTADOS UNIDOS Y EUROPA- CRIADO CONGOSTO, MARIA EUGENIA

Abstract

Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado analiza y compara las estrategias de sostenibilidad de las empresas en el sector de la salud y el bienestar en Estados Unidos y Europa. A través de una metodología cualitativa, se observa cómo las empresas integran el ODS 3 junto con los criterios ESG. A través del análisis de informes y documentos oficiales, se diferencia el modo de actuación en ambas regiones. Mientras que Europa se ve influenciada por el marco regulatorio y la auditabilidad de la sostenibilidad, Estados Unidos enfoca la sostenibilidad como un acto voluntario fuertemente influenciado por inversores, competencia e incertidumbre regulatoria. El estudio concluye que la sostenibilidad ha dejado de ser una práctica más para convertirse en un pilar de resiliencia de las empresas y competitividad no solo en el sector de la salud, sino en el mercado global.This Final Degree Project analyzes and compares the sustainability strategies of companies in the health and wellness sector in the United States and Europe. Using a qualitative methodology, it observes how companies integrate SDG 3 together with ESG criteria. Through the analysis of official reports and documents, it differentiates between the modes of action in both regions. While Europe is influenced by the regulatory framework and the auditability of sustainability, the United States approaches sustainability as a voluntary act strongly influenced by investors, competition, and regulatory uncertainty. The study concludes that sustainability is no longer just another practice but has become a pillar of business resilience and competitiveness, not only in the healthcare sector but also in the global market.
