ÉTICA EN LA INTERPRETACIÓN PROPUESTA DE CÓDIGO DEONTOLÓGICO DEL INTÉRPRETE PARA REFUGIADOS

Abstract

En este trabajo de fin de grado la autora investiga la ética profesional del intérprete, sus principios éticos básicos y códigos deontológicos ya elaborados para la profesión de interpretación en general. Esta introducción da paso a la investigación de la ética profesional del intérprete y a la investigación de los códigos deontológicos ya existentes, sus apartados y su estructura. Dando lugar en concreto a la ética profesional y a la investigación del trabajo del intérprete en el ámbito de la interpretación con refugiados o solicitantes de asilo y al estudio de la situación de este grupo, así como a la investigación a través de documentos de ACNUR de los procesos de acogida, algunas de las situaciones especiales que pueden darse en este ámbito y algunos de los grupos vulnerables (los más comunes) a los que se ha de priorizar o tratar de manera diferente por sus condiciones o por la situación en la que se encuentran. También se revisan documentos con instrucciones o consejos que aportan organizaciones como Traductores Sin Fronteras. Finalmente, a partir de toda la información recopilada a lo largo de este trabajo, se elabora una propuesta de código deontológico para intérpretes que trabajan con refugiados o solicitantes de asilo.In this final dissertation, the author investigates the professional ethics of interpreters, their basic ethical principles and the codes of ethics that have already been developed for the interpreting professionals in general. This introduction gives way to research into the professional ethics of interpreters and research into existing codes of ethics, their sections and structure, specifically leading to a chapters about professional ethics and research into the interpreter's work in the field of interpreting with refugees or asylum seekers and the study of the situation of this group, as well as research through UNHCR documents about reception processes, some of the special situations that may arise in this field and some of the vulnerable groups (the most common) that must be prioritized or treated differently due to their conditions or the situation in which they find themselves. Documents with instructions or advice provided by organizations such as Translators Without Borders are also reviewed. Finally, based on all the information gathered throughout this work, a proposal for a code of ethics is drafted for interpreters working with refugees or asylum seekers.
