Background Migraines are a type of primary headache. Two of the most common are migraines with or without aura. These migraines are characterized by a headache prior to a combination of neurological symptoms (with aura) or without prior symptoms (without aura). The habitual physiotherapeutic treatment of these migraines includes aerobic therapeutic exercise. Regarding the manual lymphatic drainage, there are no studies with sufficient scientific evidence to confirm that It´s benefit in migraines with or without aura. Main objective The objective of this study is to assess the inclusion of manual lymphatic drainage within the habitual physiotherapeutic treatment in these two types of migraines. Hypothesis The inclusion of manual lymphatic drainage in the habitual treatment is more effective than not including it in migraines with or without aura regarding to the improvement of the intensity of the pain measured with the analogue numerical scale, the frequency and the duration of pain collected in the migraines diary and the quality of life measured with the SF-36 health questionnaire. Methodology It consists of an analytical, experimental, prospective longitudinal study. It has a sample of 74 subjects divided into two groups randomly. The control group receives the habitual physiotherapeutic treatment. The experimental group receives the same treatment including the manual lymphatic drainage. In both groups there´s a pre and post treatment measurement of all subjects to obtain results with an analysis of the data with the SPSS Statistics 26.0 program.es_ES
