Causal graphs are powerful tools for structuring information and analysing cause–effect relationships. In this work, we redefine centrality measures in edge-weighted causal graphs by incorporating causality scores into traditional centrality concepts. We introduce new definitions of weighted output and input degree centrality, as well as weighted proximity centrality, based on the strength of causal paths between vertices. These measures allow the identification of the most central node from a causal perspective and the selection of the strongest causal paths linking concepts. A practical example involving a causal graph related to smoking and death illustrates the proposed calculations and results. The approach enhances previous methods by better capturing the influence of nodes within the causal structure and supports applications such as summarisation, question answering, and redundancy reduction in causal graphs.en-GB
