Covid-19: Metáfora de una Brecha Cultural

Abstract

Reflexión sobre la COVID-19 como metáfora de una brecha cultural entre Occidente y Oriente. Según los datos sociológicos y epidemiológicos disponibles, el artículo expone en base a cuatro dimensiones configuradoras de los cuerpos sociales de sentido (a saber, los "actos de fe" o convicciones; los mitos o narraciones; los ritos; la moral) la diferente reacción que algunas de las principales naciones de Oriente y Occidente han ido desarrollando ante la crisis del coronavirus.A reflection about COVID-19 as a metapher of a cultural cleavage between East and West. According to sociological and epidemiológical data, the article presents the different reaction among some of the main Western and Eastern nations in face of the coronavirus crisis, according to four dimensions which constitute the "social bodies of meaning" (namely "acts of faith" or convictions; myths and narrations; rites; morals).
