Desarrollo Moral y Justicia en Menores

Abstract

This paper presents a synthesis of the main moral development theories, like Piaget’s or Kohlberg’s theories. Moral development is related to people’s behavior and thus, the behavior they display depends on their moral level. This review will help us to know at what level of moral development young offenders are and, understanding the factors that can influence their behavior. This is important because this paper intends, at the same time, to address a review of all the intervention programs that have been carried out with young offenders. The programs that have been considered, are those that aim to increase their moral development, so they Cn start carrying out prosocial behaviors. These programs allow us to know what techniques are being used in the juvenile justice system to prevent the recidivism of young offenders, both in and outside Spain, and the effectiveness of these techniques.
