El impacto del turismo en la sostenibilidad de las ciudades

Abstract

Mediante el presente trabajo, se pretende obtener una respuesta sobre la posibilidad de un turismo sostenible mediante la reducción del impacto en las ciudades, aumentando así la sostenibilidad de la actividad.

Empezaremos definiendo el turismo, la sostenibilidad y la combinación de ambas actividades, así como sus antecedentes. El turismo al ser un tema muy amplio, nos centraremos en analizar tres tipos de turismos principales para así observar por partes los distintos impactos según qué turismos. Una vez hayamos definido las distintas actividades, buscaremos ejemplos que clarifiquen cómo ciertos destinos aplican la sostenibilidad a sus principales actividades turísticas. Así, para cada turismo utilizaremos distintos destinos y distintas economías mundiales, para tener una visión general de nuestro objeto de trabajo.The purpose of this paper is to provide an answer to the possibility of sustainable tourism by reducing the impact on cities, thus increasing the sustainability of the activity.

We will begin by defining tourism, sustainability, and the combination of both activities, as well as their background. Tourism being a very broad topic, we will focus on analysing three main types of tourism to look at the different impacts of different types of tourism. Once we have defined the different activities, we will look for examples that clarify how certain destinations apply sustainability to their main tourism activities. Thus, for each tourism we will use different destinations and different world economies, in order to have an overview of our object of work.
