Creación de herramientas de mejora continua en la planificación logística industrial

Abstract

Este proyecto consiste en la creación de herramientas de mejora continua en la planificación logística industrial para el afianzamiento de los conceptos de “Lean Manufacturing” y de los procesos Kanban en los alumnos de primero de Máster en Ingeniería Industrial, a través de las prácticas de laboratorio impartidas en la asignatura de Sistemas de Producción y Fabricación. Es por ello, que los alumnos deberán comprender y trabajar progresivamente con la metodología Kanban, así como los procesos productivos con uso de “Just in Time”, todos ellos relacionados con la materia impartida en las sesiones de esta asignatura, y dentro del marco académico del “Lean Manufacturing”. Con esta nueva metodología se potencian todas las actividades que aportan un valor añadido al proceso de producción, en detrimento de aquellas actividades que no aportan valor alguno y que crean desperdicio dentro del proceso. En este documento se verá el funcionamiento de un proceso Kanban, para que los alumnos estudien los principios en los que se basa esta metodología. Además, se formará al alumno para que tome parte del proceso de producción, ya que va a poder experimentar cómo varían los conceptos relacionados con el tiempo de fabricación, el trabajo procesado y la demanda requerida en cada momento, para así poder relacionarla con procesos pull o push, comprendiendo las diferencias entre éstos. Finalmente, cabe decir que la industria de la producción y la fabricación está sufriendo cambios continuamente en cómo se organizan y cómo se distribuyen las tareas en sus determinados sistemas productivos, por tanto, desde el ámbito docente es importante ir involucrando a los alumnos en la mejora continua de estos procesos, de forma que tomen una forma de pensar encaminada a la consecución de arriesgados retos que mejoren cualquier aspecto industrial.This project consists of the creation of tools for continuous improvement in industrial logistics planning for the consolidation of the concepts of "Lean Manufacturing" and the Kanban processes in the students of the first year Master in Industrial Engineering, through the practice sessions taught in the subject of Production and Manufacturing Systems. That is why students must understand and work progressively with the Kanban methodology, as well as the productive processes with the use of "Just in Time", all of them related to the subject taught in these sessions, and within the academic framework of "Lean Manufacturing". With this new methodology, all the activities that add value to the production process are promoted, to the detriment of those activities that do not contribute any value and that create waste in the process. In this document we will see a Kanban process operation, so that students study the principles on which this methodology is based. In addition, the student will be trained to take part in the production process, since he will be able to experience with the concepts related to the manufacturing time, the processed work and the demand required at each moment when it varies, so as to be able to relate them to pull or push processes, understanding the differences between them. Finally, it must be said that the production and manufacturing industry is undergoing continuous changes on how they are organized and how tasks are distributed in their specific production systems, therefore, from the academic field it is important to involve students in the continuous improvement of these processes, so that they take a way of thinking aimed at achieving risky challenges.
