Abstract

The objectives of this study were: (1) whether there is a change in attitude Temporal (past, present and future) of the subjects; (2) check for differences in the variable Life Satisfaction as to the variables: gender, marital status, number of children and socioeconomic levels; (3) analyze the relationship between Temporary Attitude and Soledad Subjective with Life Satisfaction. The sample consisted of a total of 110 subjects (60 women and 50 men) with an age between 50 and 60 years. Subjects answered the following questionnaires: "Satisfaction Scale SWLS life", "Scale for the Assessment of the Social and Emotional Loneliness in adults SESLA-S" and "Temporal Attitudes Scale (TAS)". The results found that the attitude of the subjects changed significantly from the present to the future positively. In this regard, it was found that the Temporary Present Attitude explains Life Satisfaction in greater proportion (24.4%). In addition, it was found that, how much more Subjective Loneliness (Family, Romantic and Social) experiences the person has lower Life Satisfaction. It was also found that Life Satisfaction depends on the number of children, and that Socioeconomic Status is a predictor of life satisfaction. However, there weren´t significant differences between sex and Life Satisfaction and not between the Marital Status and Life Satisfaction. In conclusion, Life Satisfaction is influenced by some variables and is related to the happiness of people. So, in larger studies could be seen as positive and negative experiences affect and impact the present and future Life Satisfaction of people.
