Business Plan para una start-up : LEGOMO

Abstract

This Thesis aims to develop a Minimum Viable Product and a business plan, combining different skills learned throughout the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering and MBA programme. The objective is to study the economic and financial viability of the project and the business structure. Specifically, the project consists of the development of an intelligent vegetable garden that measures different parameters in real time (humidity, luminosity, temperature, pH, etc.). The "green revolution" seen in the business world has served as a source of inspiration for this project. As well as this, there is a growing concern for food and health in society. In fact, the consumption of "plant-based" products has increased by 20% in Spain and this is due to a change of mentality in consumers. However, nowadays the pace of life of the population is very hectic and people are looking to save as much time as possible in tasks that can be simplified. That is why this garden is intelligent. In this way, the users will not have to pay as much attention to their plants as they would with a traditional garden. By being able to consult the different parameters in real time, the users will know what to adjust in the garden when they have a free moment. The garden consists of a "base" pot with several additional extensions that can be installed according to the individual needs of each customer. The "base" pot will have a Wi-Fi module and humidity sensors that will trigger the watering system according to the time that has passed since the last time the garden was watered, also taking into account the humidity of the soil. The Wi-Fi module connects to an App through which the user can consult the measurements taken by the sensors (installed in the "base" pot and the extensions) on their smartphone. This will be the competitive advantage over other competitors in the market.
