La violencia obstétrica como factor de riesgo para la formación del vínculo y el apego materno-infantil: una revisión sistemática

Abstract

Introducción: se reconoce como violencia obstétrica aquellas prácticas que suponen un daño o perjuicio, psicológico o físico, para las mujeres en el periodo del embarazo, parto o puerperio (ej. episiotomía, lenguaje vejatorio, etc.). Este tipo de violencia es muy habitual y constituye un gran problema para las mujeres, sus hijos y algunos de los profesionales que las atienden. Este artículo tiene por objetivo revisar la evidencia disponible sobre la exposición a la violencia obstétrica y su relación con la construcción del vínculo materno-infantil y el apego.

Método: se ha realizado una revisión de los últimos 10 años en la literatura científica en base a la relación entre violencia obstétrica, vínculo materno-infantil y apego. Para ello se utilizaron cinco bases de datos (Dialnet, Psicodoc, Psycinfo, PubMed y Scielo) y se seleccionaron 11 artículos de los 483 resultados.

Resultados: los estudios revisados indican que los procedimientos que implican violencia obstétrica afectan al vínculo materno-fetal, así como al futuro vínculo materno-infantil y apego, provocando frecuentes problemas en la madre, como sufrimiento, estrés o sintomatología depresiva, y favoreciendo dificultades en el desarrollo del menor, como cambios en el comportamiento.

Discusión: la literatura revisada ha puesto de manifiesto que la violencia obstétrica puede tener un impacto negativo tanto en la madre como en el menor, constituyendo un factor de riesgo para el vínculo y el apego materno-infantil. Estos resultados evidencian la necesidad de una mayor concienciación y formación del personal sanitario al respecto, con el fin de reducir la incidencia de este tipo de violencia.ntroduction: Obstetric violence is recognized as those practices that entail psychological or physical harm or damage to women in the period of pregnancy, childbirth or the puerperium (e.g. episiotomy, degrading language, etc.). This type of violence is very common and constitutes a great problem for women, their children and some of the professionals who care for them. Therefore, this article aims to review the available evidence on exposure to obstetric violence and its relationship with the construction of the mother-child bond and attachment. Methods: A review of the last 10 years has been ca-rried out in the scientific literature based on the relationship between obstetric violence, mother-child bond and attachment. For this, five databases were used (Dialnet, Psicodoc, Psycinfo, PubMed and Scie-lo) and 11 articles were selected from the 483 results. Results: The studies reviewed indicate that procedures involving obstetric violence have an impact on the maternal-fetal bond, as well as on the future maternal-infant bond and attachment, causing frequent problems in the mother such as suffering, stress, or depressive symptoms, and favouring difficulties in the development of the minor such as chan-ges in behavior. Discussion: The literature reviewed has shown that obstetric violence may have a negative impact on both the mother and the child, constituting a risk factor for the mother-child bond and attachment. These results show the need for greater awareness and training of health personnel in this regard, in order to reduce the incidence of this type of violence
