Abstract

As is well known, the stretches are deeply rooted in the different current sports, therefore the importance of knowing if these stretches really have the benefits and optimal results in the usual sports practice. Therefore, in the present study there will be an experimental group on which the static stretch is performed on the epicondylar muscle for 10 seconds and another control group to which a similar action of placebo is subjected. Objectives Analyze the existing differences of different wrist extension strength parameters obtained before and after performing a passive analytical stretch of the epicondylar muscle against the same parameters obtained in a control group that does not perform it and undergoes a similar action with effect placebo. Methodology An experimental pilot study was carried out with 18 subjects (8 women and 10 men). The measurements were made using the Primus-BTS computer dynamometer system. Doing a study of the different force variables by means of a factorial ANOVA relating these variables with the sex and the body mass index (BMI) of each subject, assuming p <0.05. Conclusions There are significant differences according to sex for maximum isometric strength. There are also significant differences depending on the treatment group, sex and body mass index (BMI) values for the maximum isokinetic force c / c at 60º / s and the maximum isokinetic force e / e at 90º / s.
