La política europea en cuanto a las inversiones de China en África. ¿Se están perdiendo oportunidades?

Abstract

El presente trabajo parte de una pregunta inicial sobre la postura europea frente a la actividad comercial de China en África. Se ha visto como otros actores internacionales históricamente hegemónicos como Estados Unidos han dado su punto de vista. Sin embargo, ¿Qué postura toma Europa frente a las inversiones chinas en el continente africano? ¿Cómo se plantea el futuro de la Unión Europea y sus relaciones exteriores como bloque comercial? Si son ciertas las afirmaciones de una posición europea combativa o que pretende frenar el avance comercial y de influencia chino y reposicionarse como actor hegemónico en la balanza de poder, ¿Se trata esto de una visión Euro-centrista? ¿Cómo se relaciona con la crítica de las actuaciones europeas en otros continentes con países en vías de desarrollo desde el punto de vista de la crítica post-colonial?This thesis is based on an initial question about the European position towards China's commercial activity in Africa. It has been seen how other historically hegemonic international actors such as the United States have given their point of view either against or in favour. However, what position does Europe take towards Chinese investments in the African continent? How does the European Union foresee its geopolitical future and its foreign relations as a trading bloc? If the affirmations of a combative European position are true or that it tries to stop the commercial advance and Chinese influence and reposition itself as a hegemonic actor in the balance of power, is this about a Euro-centric vision? How is it related to the criticism of European actions in other continents with developing countries from the point of view of post-colonial criticism?
