Dios en instagram. Apuntes para una nueva teológica estética

Abstract

La experiencia religiosa está muy vinculada a la experiencia estética. En la experiencia cristiana sabemos de una experiencia (de fe) que interacciona con el medio, “aquí y ahora” también, haciendo del Evangelio, un acontecimiento singular y significativo, que se autoexpresa (Revelación) en nosotros y en la Creación. Así, lo totalmente Bello, es degustado a través de sus imágenes, pues la belleza sensible hace real esta posibilidad de gozo, aunque también nos recuerda la fragilidad con la que lo hace. Y hacemos teología de ello, lo expresamos en palabras, gestos e imágenes. El discurso teológico necesita de la imagen en sus aproximaciones tanto lingüísticas como simbólicas a Dios. Imágenes definidas como realidades en sí mismas, un concepto representado, una narrativa que me lleva a una creencia sobre esa realidad y que inevitablemente conduce a una reflexión/asimilación personal de la propia realidad. Una imagen que puede ser materializada en una narrativa como el primer párrafo de este artículo, o en una creencia verbalizada, cantada o dramatizada, o en una representación plástica y/o artística fotografiada, pintada, esculpida, construida o realizada a modo de acción efímera. La imagen va más allá de las palabras, generando procesos de construcción de sentido a las distintas experiencias de Dios a modo de analogías. “Imágenes y lenguaje se encuentran siempre en proceso de aproximación”, es decir, que el discurso sobre Dios no sólo es un lenguaje abstracto, sino que es también un proceso analógico y por lo tanto llega a lo material. En este ejercicio, las expresiones artísticas sagradas has sido -y son- metáforas privilegiadas de Dios. Colaboran en la afirmación o negación de la realidad de Dios y dan frescura al lenguaje cuando éste queda limitado por su propia condición de lenguaje escrito o hablado.The religious experience is closely linked to the aesthetic experience. In the Christian experience we know of an experience (of faith) that interacts with the environment, "here and now" as well, making the Gospel a singular and significant event, which expresses itself (Revelation) in us and in Creation. Thus, the totally beautiful is tasted through its images, because sensitive beauty makes this possibility of joy real, although it also reminds us of the fragility with which it does so. And we make theology of it, we express it in words, gestures and images. The theological discourse needs the image in its linguistic and symbolic approaches to God. Images defined as realities in themselves, a represented concept, a narrative that leads me to a belief in that reality and that inevitably leads to a personal reflection/assimilation of reality itself. An image that can be materialised in a narrative like the first paragraph of this article, or in a verbalized, sung or dramatised belief, or in a plastic and/or artistic representation photographed, painted, sculpted, built or performed as an ephemeral action. The image goes beyond words, generating processes of construction of meaning to the different experiences of God in the form of analogies. "Images and language are always in the process of approximation", that is to say, that the discourse on God is not only an abstract language, but is also an analogical process and therefore reaches the material. In this exercise, sacred artistic expressions have been -and are- privileged metaphors of God. They collaborate in the affirmation or negation of God's reality and give freshness to language when it is limited by its own condition of written or spoken language.
