El diálogo entre el imaginario biocéntrico y la teología moral : una propuesta interdisciplinar desde la fe cristiana

Abstract

La tesis desarrolla un diálogo interdisciplinar entre la teología moral cristiana y el imaginario biocéntrico contemporáneo, entendido no como mera sensibilidad ecológica, sino como un cambio de época cultural y epistemológica. Sostiene que la teología moral, por su carácter histórico y católico, puede inculturarse y dialogar con los marcos simbólicos y cognitivos de cada tiempo. Hoy ese marco se articula en torno a la metáfora absoluta de la “vida orgánica” y a tres principios rectores —holismo, interconexión y dinamismo— que reordenan la comprensión de la realidad. La investigación se estructura en cuatro partes. La primera analiza el concepto de imaginario, su historia y el tránsito del imaginario antropocéntrico al biocéntrico, proponiendo una metodología inductiva e inter(trans)disciplinar. La segunda muestra que el núcleo del diálogo se juega en la teología de la creación: una relectura trinitaria permite afirmar la compatibilidad entre la fe cristiana y una visión relacional, dinámica y abierta del cosmos, resaltando la acción creadora del Hijo y del Espíritu. La tercera parte desarrolla las consecuencias antropológicas y axiológicas: una antropología relacional sitúa al ser humano en continuidad con la comunidad de los vivientes, manteniendo su singularidad vocacional como “sacerdote de la creación”, y una axiología que reconoce el valor intrínseco de lo creado sin eclipsar la dignidad humana. La cuarta ofrece una reformulación moral desde la categoría vida: el bien como vivificación y un método biocéntrico, relacional y holístico, orientado a una futura teología moral de la vida.

The dissertation develops an interdisciplinary dialogue between Christian moral theology and the contemporary biocentric imaginary, understood not as a mere ecological sensitivity but as a cultural and epistemological shift marking a change of era. It argues that moral theology, by virtue of its historical and catholic character, can be inculturated and engage in dialogue with the symbolic and cognitive frameworks of each age. Today, this framework is structured around the absolute metaphor of “organic life” and three guiding principles—holism, interconnectedness, and dynamism—which reorder our understanding of reality. The research is organized into four parts. The first analyzes the concept of the imaginary, its historical development, and the transition from an anthropocentric to a biocentric imaginary, proposing an inductive and inter(trans)disciplinary methodology. The second shows that the core of the dialogue lies in the theology of creation: a Trinitarian rereading makes it possible to affirm the compatibility between Christian faith and a relational, dynamic, and open vision of the cosmos, highlighting the creative action of the Son and the Spirit. The third part develops the anthropological and axiological implications: a relational anthropology situates the human being in continuity with the community of living beings while preserving a distinctive vocational singularity as “priest of creation,” and an axiology that recognizes the intrinsic value of creation without eclipsing human dignity. The fourth offers a moral reformulation grounded in the category of life: the good as vivification and a biocentric, relational, and holistic method oriented toward a future moral theology of life.
