La experiencia pre-contemplativa. ¡Un privilegio!

Abstract

Resumen: partiendo de un breve acercamiento sociológico a nuestro mundo y a una sociedad hiper-informada y sobre-estimulada, veremos si todavía hay espacio para la contemplación. En este sentido consideraremos la experiencia pre-contemplativa como todo un lujo y un privilegio, el umbral de acceso a toda experiencia contemplativa. Y es que para acceder a dicha experiencia, el ser humano solo puede predisponerse. En este sentido ofreceremos una mínima fenomenología de la vida pre-contemplativa desde la perspectiva de san Juan de la Cruz. Para terminar con algunas pistas pedagógicas que asuman la mística del siglo xvi, y la trasciendan en sus limitaciones, tales como la falta de protagonismo del cuerpo o de la respiración.Summary: Starting with a brief sociological approach to our world and a hyper-informed and over-stimulated society, this article focuses on whether there is still room for contemplation today. We will consider the pre-contemplative experience as a luxury and a privilege, the threshold of access to any contemplative experience. To access this experience, the human person can only predispose himself. In this sense, we will offer a minimal phenomenology of the pre-contemplative life from the perspective of Saint John of the Cross. We will conclude with some pedagogical clues that embrace 16th-century mysticism and transcend its limitations, such as the lack of prominence of the body or of patterns of breathing.
