Partnerships with the Private Sector: Success Factors and Levels of Engagement in Development Cooperation

Abstract

This chapter examines the question of how partnerships with private-sector actors can become more successful to achieve the 2030 Agenda. We show that it matters whether it is envisioned to incentivise and regulate private-sector engagement at the global level (e.g. in multi-stakeholder platforms) or at the country level (e.g. with development agencies).
