La intencionalidad de las vivencias tendenciales en Max Scheler y el problema de su fundamento cognoscitivo

Abstract

En este trabajo expondré la teoría de las vivencias tendenciales de Max Scheler, poco atendida por los especialistas pese a su extraordinario interés y su relevancia para entender otros aspectos más conocidos de su filosofía, como la doctrina de la percepción o el concepto de entorno (Umwelt). Me ocuparé de su delimitación frente a las vivencias teóricas y afectivas, y en especial del nivel ten- dencial prevolitivo. Corregiré la propuesta de Scheler en algunos puntos, como el de la posible fundamentación de las tendencias prevolitivas en actos afectivos y teóricos. Esta teoría, basada en la fenomenología del valor, permitiría a la filosofía actual oponerse con solidez a todo irracionalismo tendencial.In this paper I will present Max Scheler’s theory of conations, so often over- looked in spite of its extraordinary interest and its relevance for the understanding of some better-known pieces of Scheler’s philosophy, such as the theory of perception and the concept of Umwelt. The demarcation between conations and other forms of inten- tionality —theoretical as well as affective— will be addressed here, taking primarily into account the pre-volitive level of conations. I will correct some aspects of Scheler’s approach, with special regard to the problem of the cognitive foundations of pre-volitive conations. This doctrine, based on Scheler’s phenomenology of value, represents a solid alternative to every form of conative irrationalism, and can be as such of great signi- ficance for the present of philosophy.
