Abstract

This project, named as Integration and simulation in an ERTMS engineering laboratory with virtual beacons in nominal and degraded conditions, consists of the creation in XML format of the ERTMS engineering of the León – Bilbao line in its Guardo – Santibáñez de la Peña section, to its subsequent integration and simulation in the laboratory in order to debug the initial design. Once the integration of the XML model has been achieved and the design debugged, the reaction of the EVC on-board equipment will be studied in the laboratory under nominal and degraded conditions. Two cases of degraded condition will be studied: The first test will be carried out with the aim of analysing the EVC's response to a loss or inaccuracy of reading a virtual beacon, a situation that can occur in real conditions due to inaccuracies in the GNSS (such as loss of quality/ satellite vision, jamming or spoofing). The second test aims to analyse the EVC response to a loss of two consecutive groups of beacons. This work intends to define the position and information that should be transmitted to the train in the different positions of the Virtual Beacons, concluding with the realization of a test campaign in the CEDEX Railway Interoperability Laboratory for the proposed solution.
