Abstract
Currently, the rule that governs the minimums to carry out well any project within the automotive sector is the IATF16949. This standard indicates very general aspects such as requirements for the management and development of suppliers, areas and processes related to product safety or traceability, among others. However, it does not determine specific tools or a way to develop a project. The objective of this project is to study the way in which a project is developed in the automotive sector from a technical point of view, and subsequently to offer measures to improve this methodology. To this end, several real projects are studied, where you can find the different procedures that are carried out according to the stage where the project is located. Both the projects and the study will use the methodology developed by Grupo Antolin, the P06 Project Management. This way of managing projects is tailor-made for the automotive industry, based on the customer's milestones as they are what define the project timescales. However, there is a lack of tools and techniques available in project certifications such as the PMBOK guide that can be complemented to create a guide for the automotive industry.
