Influencia del apego adulto y la diferenciación del self en el ajuste marital

Abstract

El ajuste diádico es un proceso que se define por las diferencias, tensiones personales e intrapersonales, satisfacción, cohesión y consenso en una pareja. Por su parte, el apego adulto es descrito como la inherente tendencia de las personas a generar vínculos afectivos sólidos con determinadas personas a lo largo de la vida, estando directamente relacionado con los vínculos creados con los cuidadores principales durante la infancia y por último la diferenciación del self es la habilidad de experimentar tanto la intimidad como la independencia de los demás. Este estudio tenía como objetivo analizar la repercusión que tienen la diferenciación del self y el apego adulto sobre el ajuste marital, además de comprobar también la influencia del tiempo de matrimonio sobre este concepto. En el estudio participaron 153 personas con edades comprendidas entre los 24 y los 74 años. Respondieron un cuestionario que incluía tres instrumentos: Diadic Adjustment Scale (DAS-13), CaMir-R para medir el tipo de apego adulto y el Differentiation of Self Inventory (DSI -R). Los resu ltados muestran relaciones significativas entre la puntuación total del DSI-R y la puntuación total de la escala DAS-13, y, a su vez se encontraron diferencias estadísticamente signif icativas entre el DAS-13 y el tiempo de matrimonio. Se discuten por último la relevancia clínica además de sugerirse futuras líneas de investigación

Dyadic Adjustment is a process that is defined by personal differences, personal and interpersonal tensions, satisfacción, cohesion and consensus in a couple. For its part, adult attachment is described as the inherent tendency of people to generate solid affective bonds with certain people throught life, being directly related to the bonds created with the main caregivers during childhood. Finally the differentiation of self is Jcnown as the ability to experience both intimacy and independance from others. The objective of this study was to analyze the repercussion that the differentiation of self and the adult attachment have on the marital Adjustment, in addition to also checking the influence of the time of marriage on this concept. In the study 153 people aged between 24 and 74 participated. The following answered a quesrionnaire that incuded three instruments: Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS- 13), CaMirR, to measure the type of adult attachment and the Differentiation of Self Inventory (DSI-R). The results show significant relationships between the total score of the DSI-R and the total score of the DAS-13 scale, and, in turn, statistically significant differences were found between the DAS-13 and the time of marriage.
