Abstract

In the 21st century, it is necessary to redefine Social Work in order to search for imprints that promote innovative, ultra-modern contributions to our discipline. And within these, among others, the use of other mediating logics that maintain greater correspondence with the meaning and scope of our profession must be contemplated, insight mediation constituting a recent model in which we find those opportunities that put the focus in another way to understand and address conflict.

It should be said that there is almost no scientific production written in the Spanish language regarding the insight mediation model, with very few articles addressing this type of mediation and, much less, we have no manuscripts that attempt to establish the connection between it and Social Work from its mediating side.

In this text we have previously delimited the scope and meaning that disciplinary ultramodernity should contain in order to justify the basis from which we start; Subsequently, some fundamental questions about the insight model have been raised and finally, an attempt has been made to analyze and capture the correspondence between our disciplinary facet and said mediation model, providing some keys that can improve the practice of our mediating social intervention in this scenario.
