China en África, ¿una relación neocolonial?. El caso de Kenia.

Abstract

China y Kenia son dos países que en los últimos años ha intensificado y estrechado su relación comercial y diplomática. Esto ha causado alarma dentro de la comunidad internacional, ya que temen que China tenga una agenda neocolonial para Kenia y el resto de países africanos. Sin embargo, existen también defensores de esta relación, en especial africanos, quienes no tienen una visión tan negativa ante la presencia china. Este trabajo tendrá el objetivo de aclarar el asunto y contrastar las dos partes de la narrativa para obtener una visión crítica de esta realidad.China and Kenya are two countries that in recent years have intensified and strengthened their trade and diplomatic relationship. This has caused alarm within the international community, as they fear that China has a neo-colonial agenda for Kenya and the rest of Africa. However, there are also defenders of this relationship, especially Africans, who do not carry a negative view of the Chinese presence. This paper will aim to clarify the issue and contrast the two parts of the narrative to obtain a critical view of this reality.
