¡Ay!, ¿Quién podrá sanarme? Sobre la herida en los místicos
Abstract
Nuestro estudio busca desentrañar el tema de la vulnerabilidad desde la experiencia de los místicos, y más en concreto desde san Juan de la Cruz. Para ello nos apoyaremos, como hilo conductor, en la metáfora clásica de la 'herida'. Herida que es, en último término, la herida del amor. Al fin y al cabo, es amar lo que nos hace vulnerables. Y esto vale para nosotros y vale para Dios. La herida del amor brota, en el poema Cántico (obra con la que dialogaremos en nuestro trabajo) como fruto de la iniciativa divina: "habiéndome herido"; más tarde aparece Dios en escena, también herido de amor, es "el ciervo vulnerado"; al final, ambos, Dios y la persona, se muestran "en soledad de amor heridos". De la mano de Juan de la Cruz haremos un diagnóstico y una fenomenología de la vulnerabilidad (de la herida), tanto desde la ladera humana como desde la ladera divina. Como veremos, la terapia que nos brinda nuestro poeta y místico es la sanación por el amor, pues el oficio del amor es "herir para enamorar" (L 1,8).
ur study seeks to unravel the theme of vulnerability from the experience of the mystics, and more specifically from St. John of the Cross. In order to do so, we will use the classical metaphor of the ‘wound’ as a guiding thread. A wound is, ultimately, the wound of love. After all, it is love that makes us vulnerable. And this is true for us and it is true for God. The wound of love appears, in the poem Canticle (the work with which we will dialogue in our work) as the fruit of divine initiative: ‘having wounded me’; later God appears on the scene, also wounded by love, he is ‘the wounded deer’; in the end, both God and the person are shown ‘in the solitude of wounded love’. From the hand of John of the Cross we will make a diagnosis and a phenomenology of vulnerability (of the wound), both from the human side and from the divine side. As we shall see, the therapy that our poet and mystic offers us is healing through love, for the office of love is ‘to wound in order to fall in love’ (L 1,8).
