La exégesis bíblica ante algunos desafíos actuales

Abstract

En este artículo se abordan algunos de los desafíos actuales a los que se enfrenta la exégesis de la Biblia. Para ello se identifican inicialmente tres fenómenos estrechamente relacionados entre sí y que han influido en la exégesis como ningún otro hasta la actualidad, creando una situación extraordinariamente compleja y, a la vez, fascinante. Estos tres fenómenos son la secularización, los fundamentalismos y la hermeneútica postcolonial. Se consideran, además, mutuamente influenciados. Y, en segundo lugar, se ofrece una propuesta exegética que tiene en cuenta tanto las posibilidades abiertas como sus problemas: una exégesis “aunque Dios no existiera” (Bonhoeffer).

This article addresses current challenges in biblical exegesis. It begins by identifying the three interrelated phenomena that have had the greatest influence on the extraordinarily complex and fascinating landscape of exegesis today: secularization, fundamentalisms, and postcolonial hermeneutics—each of which deeply impacts the other. Next, the article lays out an exegetical proposal that takes into account both the possibilities that have been opened and the problems they entail: an exegesis “as if God did not exist” (Bonhoeffer).
