Estructura y significación de la experiencia mística en Enrique Susón OP

Abstract

Después de analizar la vida y el contexto histórico, social y espiritual del gran discípulo del Maestro Eckhart, el dominco Enrique Susón (ca. 1295-1366), así como su contexto filosófico y teológico, Silvia Bara describe la estructura fenomenológica de la experiencia mística presente en las obras de Susón. Consta de tres elementos fundamentales: (1º) El Misterio de Dios, “término” de la relación religiosa; (2º) el misterio del ser humano, “sujeto” de la relación, y su “fondo” o abisal receptividad del “Abismo sin fondo” divino; (3º) y, por último, la relación que se establece entre ambos y el itinerario místico para alcanzar la unión con Dios. Se ofrece, por tanto, la antropología mística y teológica de Susón, representante de la llamada escuela “mística alemana”, “dominicana”, o “renana”, iniciada por el Maestro Eckhart OP.

After analysing the life and the historical context - social and spiritual - of the great disciple of Meister Eckhart, the Dominican Henry Suso (ca. 1295-1366), as well as his philosophical and theological contexts, Silvia Bara describes the phenomenological structure of mystical experience present in the works of Suso. It consists of three fundamental elements: (1st) The Mystery of God, as the “terminus” or end/object of religious relation; (2nd) the mystery of the human person, as the “subject” of the relationship, and his “ground” or abyssal receptivity of the divine “Ground”; (3rd) the relationship that is established between them and the mystical path for attaining union with God. She presents, therefore, the mystical and theological anthropology Suso, representative of the school called “German”, “Dominican” or “Rhenish” mysticism initiated by Meister Eckhart OP.
