Libertad, alteridad y afectividad: en los albores de la ética

Abstract

El artículo aborda filosóficamente la relación entre libertad, alteridad y afectividad como elementos fundamentales para comprender el nacimiento de la ética. Partiendo de la pregunta por el ser humano y su libertad, el autor analiza las limitaciones de una concepción de la libertad entendida exclusivamente como autonomía. La experiencia del otro introduce una dimensión que cuestiona la autosuficiencia del sujeto y permite comprender la responsabilidad como componente esencial de la existencia humana. La afectividad desempeña un papel decisivo, pues muestra que la relación ética no surge únicamente del conocimiento racional o de una decisión autónoma, sino también de la apertura y exposición al otro. De este modo, el artículo propone una comprensión relacional de la libertad y sitúa la alteridad y la afectividad en los albores mismos de la experiencia ética.

The article philosophically examines the relationship between freedom, otherness and affectivity as fundamental elements for understanding the emergence of ethics. Beginning with the question of human existence and freedom, the author analyses the limitations of a conception of freedom understood exclusively as autonomy. The experience of the other introduces a dimension that challenges the subject’s self-sufficiency and makes it possible to understand responsibility as an essential component of human existence. Affectivity plays a decisive role because it shows that the ethical relationship does not arise solely from rational knowledge or autonomous decision-making, but also from openness and exposure to the other. The article therefore proposes a relational understanding of freedom and places otherness and affectivity at the very beginnings of ethical experience.
