Limitaciones a la Integración de Defensa en América Latina y Posibles Soluciones

Abstract

En este trabajo de investigación, cuyo estudio está centrado en América Latina, se hará un análisis de las iniciativas de cooperación de Defensa en la región. El objetivo de estudio principal serán los motivos que han obstaculizado dicha cooperación en el avance hacia la integración de Defensa. Es importante analizar las características que han llevado al fracaso y dónde están los límites a los que se han llegado. Este análisis servirá para aprender de los errores que se hayan podido cometer en el pasado y observar el progreso. Por último, servirá para sacar partido del trabajo realizado por las iniciativas ya implementadas, apoyarse de las aportaciones otorgadas por la diplomacia de Defensa y tener una mirada a futuro sobre las alternativas del proceso integrador latinoamericano.In this research work focused on Latin America, I will analyze the Defense cooperation initiatives in the region. The main objective of the study is to evaluate the reasons that have hindered such cooperation in advancing towards Defense integration. It is important to analyze the characteristics that have led to failure and the limits have been reached. This analysis is useful to learn from the mistakes of the past and observe progress. Finally, the work carried out by the already implemented cooperation and integration initiatives, and the contributions made by Defense diplomacy, give an insight to future alternatives of the Latin American Defense integration process.
