Durante la edad contemporánea las relaciones entre la Iglesia católica y los Estados liberal-constitucionales se caracterizaron por entrañar enérgicas tensiones que evolucionaron con el tiempo. Ello se vio fielmente reflejado en la trayectoria histórica de España, Italia y Francia a lo largo de los últimos dos siglos.During the contemporary age relations between the Catholic Church and the liberal-constitucionales States were characterized by entail aggressive strains that evolved over time. This was faithfully reflected in the historic March of Spain, Italy and France over the last two centuries.
