Análisis de los Derivados Financieros en España

Abstract

Este trabajo estudia los distintos tipos de derivados financieros existentes en España, ya sean negociados en mercados organizados o en mercados over-the-counter. Dentro de los mismos, además de sus principales características, se explica la evolución que ha tenido el volumen de cada uno de estos productos en los últimos años. A la hora de aportar datos sobre el volumen de aquellos negociados OTC, cuyos datos exactos se desconocen, se ha recurrido a los resultados realizados por el Banco de Pagos Internacionales que, aunque bajo ciertas hipótesis, se asemeja fielmente a la posible realidad. Por último, y a raíz de la crisis financiera 2007-2008, se ha llevado a cabo un estudio sobre las nuevas regulaciones acordadas por el G20 en este sector. A pesar de su puesta en funcionamiento en 2013, su reciente incorporación requiere de su tratamiento a la hora de hablar de los derivados negociados OTC, los más perjudicados por esta crisis.This paper studies the different types of financial derivatives that exist in Spain, whether they are traded on organized markets or over-the-counter markets. Inside each one, apart from their principal characteristics, is explained their turnover evolution from the last years. When it comes to show turnover data from OTC markets, which real data is unknown, it has been used the results provided from the Bank of International Payments which, although with some hypothesis, reflects accurately the possible reality. At last, and since the financial crisis in 2007-2008, a study has been done about the new regulations agreed in the G20 for this sector. In spit of its set up in 2013, its recent incorporation requires to be treated when talking about derivatives traded in OTC markets, the most injured from the crisis.
