Abstract

El capítulo se propone analizar las resistencias ofrecidas al traductor de los clásicos literarios por una tradición interpretativa no siempre correcta. Si quiere respetar el significado auténtico de un texto como el Quijote, el traductor deberá enfrentarse a siglos de lecturas sesgadas y también al rechazo de propuestas justas, pero consideradas demasiado arriesgadas por las editoriales.The chapter sets out to analyze the resistance offered to the translator of literary classics by an interpretive tradition that is not always correct. If he want to respect the authentic meaning of a text like Don Quixote, the translator will have to face centuries of biased readings and also the rejection of fair proposals, considered too risky by publishers.
