Los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible y la metodología “SDG Compass” en la industria de la belleza.

Abstract

En 2015 las Naciones Unidas dejan a un lado los Objetivos del Milenio (ODM) y se embarcan en crear una una nueva hoja de ruta para conseguir un mundo más sostenible y mejor: Los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS). Gracias a esta iniciativa se componen una serie de metas a lograr para 2030. No obstante, esta vez, gracias al Pacto Global, el sector privado deja de estar en un segundo plano para convertirse en un activo actor del cambio en este reto universal. Por esta razón, este trabajo de investigación está destinado a analizar cómo algunas empresas de la industria de la belleza aplican los ODS a su estrategia empresarial. Adicionalmente, se evaluará sus formas de aplicación desde la metodología “SDG Compass”, ofrecida por el Pacto Global.Since 2015, the United Nations left behind the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs), in order to establish a new roadmap that will eventually lead us to a more sustainable and better world: the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Throughout this initiative, the UN builds a series of objectives due to 2030. However, this time, thanks to the Global Compact, the private sector stops acting passively and takes one of the lead roles in this universal challenge. Therefore, this research paper aims to analyze how some of the main companies in the beauty industry integrate SDGs into their business strategy. Furthermore, it will also evaluate their action steps through the “SDG Compass” methodology, created by the Global Compact.
