MODA Y SOSTENIBILIDAD: EL GRAN RETO DE LAS EMPRESAS

Abstract

En la actualidad la tendencia existente por la sostenibilidad resulta indiscutible. Por un lado, se ha convertido en el gran reto de las empresas llamadas por la emergencia medioambiental a cambiar sus modelos de negocio. Por otro, los consumidores ya exigen una producción que vele por la preservación del medio ambiente, valorando aquellas marcas que incorporan este elemento en sus políticas. En concreto, este trabajo se centrará en analizar la industria del sector textil por ser ésta uno de los grandes focos de cambio después de haber sido declarada la segunda industria más contaminante del planeta. Para ello, en esta investigación se pretende demostrar a través del análisis de mercado de la moda española, la transformación hacia el crecimiento de las marcas sostenibles en el sector, así como la relación existente entre el valor que percibe el consumidor o Brand Equity y el elemento de la sostenibilidad que éstas integran en su modelo de negocio.The current trend towards sustainability is unquestionable. On the one hand, it has become the great challenge for companies called upon by the environmental emergency to change their business models. On the other hand, consumers already demand a production that ensures the preservation of the environment, valuing those brands that incorporate this element. Specifically, this paper will focus on analyzing the textile industry as one of the great focal points of change after having been declared the second most polluting industry on the planet. Thus, this research aims to demonstrate, by analysing the Spanish fashion market, the transformation towards the growth of sustainable brands in the industry, the relationship between the value perceived by the consumer, or the Brand Equity, and the element of sustainability introduced into each business model.
