Estudio de un rotor pivotante para aerotaxi eléctrico urbano de rango medio

Abstract

Surge del trabajo de Lilium para desarrollar un servicio de aerotaxis urbanos, caracterizados por el despegue y aterrizaje vertical y el vuelo de crucero eficiente. Consiste por tanto en diseñar una aeronave que cumpla esas condiciones y pueda considerarse un invento. Se inicia mediante una investigación de la propiedad industrial, con la que se concluye que las patentes constituyen el mejor sistema de protección. Por ello se decide presentar una solicitud de modelo de utilidad para proteger el diseño de este proyecto. El siguiente paso fue el estudio de la técnica mediante la lectura de las patentes del ámbito de los rotores pivotantes (escogido de entre los códigos CPC). El objetivo fundamental fue detectar aquellos problemas que persisten en la actualidad para desarrollar el diseño en función de dichos problemas. De entre todos ellos se decidió centrar el proyecto en la resolución de los problemas de control, en concreto la maniobrabilidad y el vuelo de transición; por considerarlos aspectos fundamentales en el funcionamiento de un aerotaxi urbano, y con posibilidades de diseño e innovación muy variadas. Por último se estudiaron en mayor profundidad los inventos que abordaban este mismo tipo de problemas. Tras el estudio de la técnica se plantea un diseño caracterizado por estos elementos principales: •Un sistema de 3 rotores pivotables de paso variable con control independiente. •Alas con capacidad de inclinarse en vuelo mediante el giro de un eje que las une al fuselaje. •Cola con capacidad de inclinarse en vuelo mediante el mismo sistema que las alas y con independencia de éstas. •2 Rotores de cola que puedan plegarse en el interior de la cola durante el vuelo de crucero. Una vez completado el diseño de la aeronave, el último paso ha sido redactar la solicitud de modelo de utilidad ante la OEPM para protegerlo.The project arises from the work carried out by the company Lilium to develop an urban air taxi service. So this project’s target is to raise an aircraft design that meets the urban air taxi conditions, and can be considered an invention. The project began carrying out an investigation of industrial property, whose conclusion is that patents are the most appropriate protection. So a patent application will be submitted to protect the designed aircraft. The next step was the study of the technique, carried out by reading the patents published in the field of pivotable propulsion rotors. The main objective of research was to detect those problems that persist today. Among the most common problems, it was decided to focus the project on the resolution of the control problems, especially the manoeuvrability and the transition flight; as they are fundamental aspects in the operation of an urban air taxi, and a field with multiple possibilities of design and innovation. It was carried out a more in-depth study of the inventions that dealt this type of problems. It is decided that the aircraft object of this project will be composed of the following main elements: • A system of 3 rotating variable pitch rotors with independent control to increase manoeuvrability and control options.

• Wings that have the ability to lean in flight through an axis that joins them to the fuselage and can rotate in relation to it.

• Tail that has the ability to lean in flight through the same system as the wings and independently of these.

• 2 Tail rotors that can be folded into the tail during the cruise flight.

Once the design of the aircraft has been completed, the last step of the project has been to draft the utility model request before the OEPM to protect said design.
